HOCKEY AT SUVA.

’VARSITY SIDE DRAWS. SUVA, Aug. 26. The New Zealand University hockey team drew with Suva, 2-2, in the first Test. Martin scored for Suva a minute after the start of the game. Even play followed, and there was no further score in the first half. Early in the second spell Ford flicked the ball to Struthers (Massey College) who scored. Suva returned to the attack immediately after tne Dully and Boyer scored with a hot shot. Near the end Walter sent out to Walton, who centred, and Huston scored. The visitors out-manoeuvred Suva with their stick work, but lacked combination. Suva had the advantage of speed. Ford described the ground as the fastest lie had ever played on.
