UNHAPPY START.
NEW AIR SERVICE. ’PLANE FORCED DOWN. Received August 23, 10.35 a.m. DARWIN, Aug. 23. The monoplane Faith in Australia, while making tho return trip to Adelaide from Darwin after starting tho new air mail service between these two centres, landed at Daly Y\ aters after the centre engine had been badly damaged when a lault developed. Tho passengers and crew arc stranded at Daly Waters, which is about 350 miles from Darwin. A relief ’plane has been sent from Adelaide.
