POWER BOARD PERSONNEL. “Don’t vou think that it is a mistake for directors of this company to be meniers of the Alanawatu-Oroua Power Board?” asked Air J. Whittle of the chairman (Air N. Campbell) nt the annual meeting of the Awahuri Dairy Company, yesterday afternoon. The chairman, he added, had emphasised the importance of retaining the consuming public’s goodwill, but lie (the speaker) was constantly having thrown back at him the attitude of directors of the company when acting as members of the Power Board. People in Palmerston North were refusing to buy the company’s butter over the counter in consequence. “It is not a question of whether we are right or not,” he added, “but reasonably or unreasonably, people have got their backs up in Palmerston North.”
Subsequent discussion was taken in committee on the motion of Mr J. A. Russell. •
