(From Our Own Correspondent. 1 WHAKARONGO, July 19. Tho following were the winners of the euchre tournament at AYhakarongo on Tuesday night: —Ladies, Airs Puklowski 1, Airs Johansen and Aliss W. Harris, equal 2, tho former winning the cut; men, Air R Trentice 1, Mr R- Puklowski 2; consolations. Airs Eggens and Air Gretten.. Several improvements and alterations have been made to the Whakarongo dairy 3 j!l°isg’ K. Kyle, of Waipukurau, is the guest” of Air and Airs Shannon. Aim A. Lancaster, of To Awamutu, who has been the guest of' her parents, Mr and Airs R. Vautier, has returned to her home. Airs Vautier, 6cnr., is now spending a few days with her daughter at Te Awamutu. Airs Harrowficld. who is an inmate of a private hospital, is making good improvement Air Wilson, who lias, been an mmato of the Hospital for some days, is making a steady recovery. Air and Mrs Hennckson are spending a holiday in Blenheim. Air Clive Puklowski has returned from a holiday spent in Wanganui. There is much influenza about in this district at the present time.
