MEXICAN UNREST.
DEATH OF STUDENTS. MEXICO CITY, July 15. Four were killed and six injured in another outburst of religious strife todav. A group of Catholic students journeyed to Villa Hermosa, in the State of Tabasco, to petition the Radical Governor, Senor Thomas Garrido Y Canabel, one of the leading antiCatholics in Mexico, to ease his campaign against the Church. They were walking along a street when a group of machine-gunners in an automobile, alleged to be Canabel sujiporters. opened lire and mowed the students down. The survivors took refuge in buildings. They telegraphed to the Central Government asking for military intervention.
Senior Canabel held an important place in the Federal Cabinet, but, in the recent “shake-up,” he was ousted by Catholic elements.
