Fire totally destroyed the Bay View Hotel, Napier, within half an hour early yesterday morning. Three boarders and the staff vacated the premises with only a few personal belongings. The hotel, a single storeywooden structure, was built shortly before the 1931 earthquake, and later reconditioned. A dog awakened * boarder, who gave the alarm.
