OBITUARY.
MR J. T^GREIN. Received June 24, 9.35 a.m. LONDON, June 23. The death has occurred of Mr J. T. Groin, Consul-General for Liberia, and a dramatic critic.
Mr Grein, who was born at Amsterdam in 1862, became a naturalised British subject in 1895. From the age of 16 he had combined business with journalism, and had a close association with the stage. In 1953 he founded the People’s Theatre, at Whitechapel.
