MELBOURNE CASE.

VAGRANCY CHARGE LAID. Received Juno 25, 10.55 a.m. MELBOURNE, June 25. Matthew Walsh, aged 23, and Keith Gill, aged 21, appeared in the City Court charged with vagrancy. The Police Prosecutor said the caretaker of a jeweller firm in Western Australia had been murdered and jewellery valued at £4927 stolen in February. The police had satisfactory proof that Walsh and Gill had been receiving jewellery. The Magistrate granted an application by the police for a remand.
