WILLARD HOME ANNIVERSARY APPEAL.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —On behalf of the Board of Management of the Willard Children’s Home and Orphanage, we desire, through your paper, to thank the citizens of Palmerston North and country districts for their continued interest and practical help given to tho home. Next Wednesday, 29th inst., at 2.30 p.m., its 15th anniversary will be celebrated at the home in Russell Street and a cordial invitation is extended to anyone interested to attend on that occasion. Willard Home is a “home” in the .truest sense, for these children are loved, trained and fitted for life’s responsibilities. Those who have left the home to earn their own living are doing well. At present there are 23 children in residence, ranging from 3} years to 13 years. The maintenance of these children is being supplemented by the activities of the board members and help Irom our citizens and country friends, and we again appeal to them for assistance. We would he glad of the following gifts: —Groceries, single sheets, pillow slips, hoys’ shirts, girls’ and boys’ stockings, hath towels, tea toivels. large enamel pie dish, large enamel saucepan, bedroom broom, yard brush, boot brushes, large door mat, cups and saucers, potatoes, firewood. <\i'G etc. (Mrs) E; A.’COLLINSj J.P., President.
