LYTTON STREET SCHOOL.

SAVIAIAIING SPORTS. Rather chilly weather prevailed yesterday afternoon for the annual swimming sports of the 1 Lytton Street School, hut this did not detract from a very good attendance of parents and others as well as an excellent exhibition of swimming. The frequent practices' the children have had this season owing to the hot weather were ( reflected in the greatly improved form and times that were shown.

The boys’ championship was won by Raymond Saunders, while Joyce Sim gained most points in the girls’ championship. At tho conclusion of the events the cups were handed to the winners l>y Air Iv. M. Little, president of the Parents’ Association, who congratulated the .school on the encouragement I that had been given swimming, and also the children on their creditable display. Thanks were extended to all who had helped at the sports by All' C. A. Batt, headmaster, and to the parents for their support of the sports. The following are the results of the races: — !
