RONGOTEA, Alarch When tho Rongotea Horticultural Society’s Show was continued in tho evening, the following additional awards were (announced :■ —Points prizes and specials : Most entries in show, Aliss W. Clare: dahlias, Air G. R. Boswell (Foilding); miscellaneous, Airs E. P. Hall (Kairanga) ; decorative, Aliss N. Clare (Carnarvon) ; fruit, Airs E. Spall (Whakarongo) ; vegetables, Air G. Hunt; collection farm roots, Air W. Sandcrcock; domestic, All's C. W. Turner (Kairanga); preserves, Aliss N. Clare; art and fancy, Airs I’. Florence (Carnarvon); 16 years and under, Aliss Edna Will. • A concert party from Palmerston North (whoso visit had been arranged by Mr D. Rowe) met with a most enthusiastic) reception. The following rendered items: —Pianoforte duet, Alisses Berryman and Alaundcr; vocal solo, Aliss Day; recitation, Aliss Alaundcr; vocal duct Alisses Day and Walker; vocal solo, Air G. W. AVhitclock; ’cello solo, Aliss Maunder; vocal solo. Aliss Walker; pianoforte duet, Alisses Berryman and Maunder ; vocal solo, Air D. B. Rowe. At the close of tho evening tho visitors were entertained at supper, and Air Rowe ex-

pressed thanks to the ladies for their hospitality. Airs Will (president) spoke of tho pleasure that was derived by local residents when city people wore so ready to assist at such functions, and closed her brief word of thanks with a reference to the cordial relations that existed between Rongotea and Palmerston North.
