(From Our Own Correspondent.) WHAKARONGO, March 13. A cricket match which was played last week-end between Whakarongo and Bunnythorpe resulted in a win for tho latter. Bunnythorpe, in their first innings, made 51, whereas Whakarongo scored 28, while ! tlie second innings scores were 63 tor Bunnythorpe and 66 for Whakarongo, making a total of 114 runs for the former and 94 for the latter, a difference of 19. The hame cricket team as that which played against Bunnythorpo last week-end will meet Aoknutere at Whakarongo next week-end. The attendance at the fortnightly euchre and danco, held in the hall on Tuesday, was very good, there being botween 70 and 80 chairs occupied. The winners of tho euchre prizes were: Miss Harvey and Mrs Waller 1, Mrs Sollett 2; Air Laurence 1, Air R. Puklowski and Air Price tied for second place, and after cutting the latter was tho winner; consolations, Airs Mouldy and Air R. Tait.
