Pieces were inclined to be a shade easier—from a farthing to a half-penny. Bradford and Continental buyers were the principal operators, with Japan securing suitable lots; Germany operated sparingly. The range of prices is as follows: Merino, 7d to 13$d ; halfbreds, 7id to 11 Jd (binned to 12Jd) ; three-quarter-bred sld to lOd ; crossbred, s)d to 9J,d. Pieces: Merino, 7d to 9}d; three-quar-terbred, 5d to 6d; lialfbred, bellies and necks, 7sd to lOd; Merino, pieces and necks, lOJd; three-quarterbred pieces and necks, 4ld to 6d.
