PALMERSTON v. NORTHERN. Six rinks from tlie Northern Bowling Club paid a visit to tbe Palmerston North green last evening to indulge in a friendly contest. The honours went to tbe home club by five games to one with the aggregates reading 122 to 82. Following are tlie results of the matches, tlie Palmerston North players reading first:—diver, W. Cruncher, J. Croucher. W. W. Jones (skip) lost to Brightwell, Smith, Lynch, Ralione (skip), 15 —23; Frew, Shelley, Northover, Anderson (skip) beat Lynch, Schioler, Young, Sbarman (skip), 18—13; Waters, W. Bayliss, Boniface, J. H. Nash (skip) beat Sands, Isbister, Bryce, Wort (skip), 27—7; Mitchell, Keeling, Tapp, A. S. Bayliss (skip) beat Neilsen, Macpherson, Lee, Wills (skip), 19 —12; Tliorburn, Cowling.
