MANAWATU DRAINAGE BOARD
CLASSIFICATION OF AREA. A meeting of the Manawatu Drainage Board was held on Monday to consider tlie question of classifications in the board’s area. Trustee P. G. Mildon was in the chair, while others present wore Trustees J. Collis; A. fit . Hamlin, IV. E. Thomas, F. J. Russell, R. Tanner and I>. Prouse. Following upon the classifications being reviewed, it was decided to hold the subject over till next meeting. Preparations were set afoot for the cleaning of the board’s drains, contracts being let for the following drains :—Kairanga-Bunnythorpe. Government Reserve, No. 4 Line, Boundnrv„ No. 1 Aorangi, Tvarcre Road, Rv in a n and Balsillie’s, Bennett’s, No. 1 drain (sections). Foxton Lino (contracts Nos. 16 and 17), Blackmore’s, Leigh’s and Voss's.
