JOINT CENTENARIES.
WELLINGTON AND AUCKLAND. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 11. "Willingness to collaborate with Auckland in order to save overlapping and ex Dense in regard to the Wellington and Auckland Centenaries in 1940, ivas expressed to-day by the Mayor (Mr T. C. A. Hislop). “Personally, I would be very glad indeed to collaborate with Auckland so as to avoid overlapping or unnecessary expenditure, and so as to ensure that the celebrations will be suitable to both cities and worthy of the occasion which is not only the centenary of Wellington and Auckland, but of New Zealand, said Mr Hislop.
