DUKE OF KENT.
AS GOVERNOR-GENERAL. REPORTS DISCOUNTED. * Received March 12, 10.35 a:m. CANBERRA, March 12. The reports from London that the Commonwealth Government will seek the appointment of the Diike of Kent as Governor-General are discounted in official circles. It is understood that the matter was discussed jirior to the departure of Mr J. A. Lyons and a decision reached that the time was not appropriate to seek a member of the Royal family as Governor-General.
