The reports from London that the Commonwealth Government will seek the appointment of the Diike of Kent as Governor-General are discounted in official circles. It is understood that the matter was discussed jirior to the departure of Mr J. A. Lyons and a decision reached that the time was not appropriate to seek a member of the Royal family as Governor-General.
