CENTRAL SCHOOL DANCE.
LARGE CROWD ATTENDS. One of the largest attendances over a long period favoured the fortnightly old-time dance held at the Central School on Friday, and the gathering proved successful in every way. The proceedings were under the care of Mr W. H. Brown as M.C., and he announced that a waltzing competition would be held at the next dance. The supper arrangements were _ ca.pably handled by the ladies’ committee. The winners of novelty dances were : Monte Carlo, Miss Davidson and Mr Greatorex ; lucky spot, Miss George and Mr Warn.
