FOG AT HAMILTON.

ONE ROAD ACCIDENT. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, Jan. 16. An unusually thick fog which enveloped Hamilton this morning made for unpleasant conditions and visibility was limited to a few yards in certain localities. On the Ohaupo Road the poor visibility culminated in a collision between a milk float and a transport lorry, dozens of broken milk bottles and spilt milk representing a scene of confusion when the fog cleared. The milkman, John Henry Lamphire, aged 46, received injuries necessitating his admission to hospital with cuts, abrasions and extensive bruises. While the lorry escaped with only slight damage the float was wrecked irreparably.
