THE CITY’S FIGURES. A. comparison with the vital statistical returns tor the month of November, 1933, discloses that births in the city retreated considerably in the past month, for whereas there were 52 births registered in November of last year, there were only 39 for the same month this year. Deaths, on the other hand, show a substantial increase, 33 deaths having occurred as compared with 17 in the same month last year. * November proved to be a popular month for marriages, 27 being celebrated locally as compared with 16 twelve months ago. . The registrar was called upon to perforin the ceremony on eight occasions last month as against four in November, 1933, and of the number no fewer than six were performed this week.
