DEFENCE PROBLEMS.
CONFERENCE IN DOMINION. Received November 13, 10 a.m. CANBERRA, Nov. 13. The Minister of External Affairs (Sir George Pearce) has announced that he will leave for New Zealand next Saturday to attend a three days’ conference with the Dominion Government representatives, and Sir Maurice Hankey, Secretary of the Imperial Defence Committee, on an Empire plan for co-ordinating Pacific The party sailing in the Wanganella includes Sir George Pearce, B a< jy Pearce, Sir Maurice Hankey, and Ladv Hankey, the Controller-General _of Munitions Supply, Mr A. E. Leighton, and the secretary of the Australian Council of Defence, Mr F. G. Shedden.
