AMERICAN JURY.
TRAGEDY RECALLED.
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 10. The Grand Jury which is investigating the prosecuting record of District Attorney Burton Fitts, who is under a perjury indictment, found testimony regarding the mysterious suicide of Paul Bern, husband of Jean Harlow, in 1932, that may reopen the entire case.
The original Grand Jury returned a verdict of suicide, but the testimony reveals that several domestics in liis home doubted this, and expressed the opinion that he was murdered. The foreman of the present jury, however, insisted that they were not interested in the case, although according to the reports one expert testified that the cryptic “suicide” note Bern left was a palpable forgery.
