PRESS CONFERENCE
POSTPONEMENT MADE.
NEW YORK, Nov. 10. A message from Columbia (Missouri) says that Dr Walter Williams announced that the World Press Conference scheduled to be held in Melbourne has been postponed, “due to present world economic conditions and n conflict in dates with the Empire Press Union.” He said a future date would be selected later. Dr Williams in his statement added: “It is .felt that the exchange situation and general business conditions are such that a postponement of the Melbourne meeting would work to the advantage of the Press Congress and its membership.”
