EXPORT LAMB COMPETITION.
Entries for the Feilding group of lambs competing in tile district lamb export coni- | petition have closed and a record of 80 i entries have been received. Wednesday, the 14th inst., lias been selected as the field and judging clay, and exhibitions and all persons interested in the fat lamb industry are invited to attend at the Feilding freezing works to view the entries both before and after slaughtering. Mr F. C. Stowcll. of Masterton, will commence the live judging at 8 a.ill. Substantial prize money has been donated by Messrs Sims, Cooper and Co. (through their local representative, Mr H. Garlick). The slaughtering will begin about 10 o’clock and Mr J. Drysdale, Government inspector, will lie in attendance and will select the best 15 pons for export to London as the Feilding group. Messrs T. Bortlnviek and Sons have kindly promised to provide a light- luncheon for those attending the function.
