NOTES.
The attention of Constable Johnston, of Feilding, was attracted yesterday morning at about 5 o’clock to two youths entering the town along Aorangi Street. They were seen to enter the rear of a grocery store near the railway station where they were arrested by Condable Johnston and one of them taken into custody when it was found that they were boys who had escaped from Weraroa State Farm. The second youth climbed a fence and made off, but after depositing the captured hoy at the police station the constable followed the second one and located him at the rear of a garage in Kiniboiton Rond Again the boy fled at the approach of the’ constable, but for the second time lie was later discovered hiding at the rear of a residence. Here, with the assistance of the occupier of the house, the boy was caught and with his comrade escorted back to Weravoa vesterdav afternoon.
