GOOD TONE FOR BUTTER
THE RULING QUOTATIONS.

On the butter market this week there is a good tone. The cheese market is firm. The following are the ruling prices, the last cabled quotations being given in parentheses : Danish, 124 s (1255). Choicest salted, New Zealand, 76s to 78s t (735) ; Australian, 75s to 77s (725). Unsalted, New Zealand, 78s to 80s (74s to 78s) ; Australian, 74s to 76s (725). Cheese. —New Zealand, coloured, ods 6d (545); white, 54s 6d (53s 6d).
