MURDER CONVICTION QUASHED.
Received November 9, 1.10 p.m. MELBOURNE, Nov. 9. Tuckiar, the aboriginal who was sentenced to death at Darwin for the murder of Constable McColl, has been released on appeal by the High Court, which quashed his conviction. The Court expressed the hope that the authorities would arrange for Tuckiar’s return to his tribe in the far north.
