FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
LOYAL MANAWATU LODGI
The fortnightly meeting of Loyui Manawatu Lodge was liela last nignt, N.G. Bro. Ereeman. presiding over a large attendance. A vote of condolence was passed to the relatives ol the late Brothers G. M. Watson and G. M. Evans by the members of the lodge. An invitation was received from flic Orient Lodge to a social evening to be held shortly. This was accepted. The Loyal Daunevirke Lodge- also sent an invitation to a social evening and this also was accepted. It was decided to challenge Loyal Feilding Lodge to a game of cards for the Salek Sports Shield. The sick visitors reported that all the sick members were doing as well as could be expected. A challenge was received from Court Hinemoa, A.0.E., to a game of bowls for the Friendly Societies Shield. Two members were initiated as members of the order. The second nominations of ' officers was called and closed. The election will take place next meeting night. After lodge closed members enjoyed themselves with dancing and social activities.
