WOODVILLE, Nov. 8.
In order to raise funds for the Croquet Club, JMrs Whitelaw gave an enjoyable afternoon at. her home on Wednesday. There a largo attendance of members and the time was spent in outdoor competitions, the winners of which were: Mrs Curry (peg), Aim Elder (putting). Mrs Halpin (ladder), Mrs Halpin (target), 1 Airs AlcCarthy (French), Mrs Hensen (golf), Alesdamos McCarthy and Halpin (hurryscurry). The two lucky number competitions wcr.c won by Airs Pritchard. After afternoon tea had been served, Mrs Elder, on behalf of the club, expressed thanks to Airs Whitelaw for her hospitality. Airs Whitelaw suitably replied. Mr and Airs .A. M. Pickering and their son have left on a holiday trip to Sydney.
