WELLINGTON, Nov. 9
In the Alagistrate’s Court to-day, William Ludlow, a labourer, pleaded guilty to tampering with a meter with intent to defraud the City Council, also to stealing electricity valued at 2s lid. He was placed on probation for twelve months. rhe Alagistrate remarked that if such offences continued he would have o consider a term of imprisonment. it was stated on behalf of the City Council that quite a long list of people were under suspicion.
