PLAGUE OF GRASSHOPPERS
IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA
Received November 8. 10.35 a.m. ADELAIDE, Nov. 8. Eyres Peninsula, South Australia’s vast wheat-growing province, is being devastated by the worst grasshopper plague within memory. In many cases farmers will reap no grain and many others" will obtain no more than feed.
The grasshoppers continue to advance on a 250-mile front.
