FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
OROUA LODGE OF DRUIDS.
At the regular meeting of the Oroua Lodge of Druids in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Cuba Street, on Tuesday evejiing, A.D. Bro. Buchanan presided over a good attendance. P.D.P. Bro. Brae, of Pacific Lodge, and P.A. Bro. McConnish, of Pride of Brooklyn Lodge, were introduced to the A.D. by the M.C. (P.A. Bro. Gold). P.A. Bro. Gilmore reported on having attended the last meeting of the Friendly SoCouncil. At the conclusion of business, the lodge closed and the brothers proceeded, to entertain, Bro. Lowndes acting as M.C., with Bro. C. Lloyd at the piano. A humorous debate between Bros. Webb and Gilmore, “Should the Bagpipes, Saxaphone and Accordeon bo allowed to play together?” was staged. A Monte Ca.rlo waltz was won by Sister Buchanan and Bro. Taylor, anil the Lucky Gay Gordons by Sis. Middleton and Bro. Brae. Supper was served by the brothers.
