POLO CLUB.

GOES INTO RECESS

A decision was reached at a meeting of members of the bedding Polo Club, yesterday afternoon, to go into recess and await the game being taken up later. Mr W. M. Stewart presided and indicated to the meeting, that there was little likelihood of the club being revived in bedding, due to an insufficiency of players. Mr R. McKelvie (Carnarvon) explained that in the lower Rangitikei interest was still quite keen and there ■was every chance that the game would be taken up once more. In deciding to go into recess the meeting considered that those mem- ■ bers of the local club desirous of playing would perhaps be able to restore interest in the sport in bedding when the Rangitikei players took tip the game. Messrs E. Burrell and AY. M. Stewart were appointed trustees of the club’s funds.
