MILSON.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) MILSON, May 23. The Milson Tennis Club held a card party in the hall last evening, a good attendance being recorded. Progressive euchro was played, the arrangements .being in the hands of Messrs Brown and Cummings. Mrs O. Oalleson proved the winner of tho ladies’ prize, the men’s going to Mr Kitchen. A special prize donated by Mrs Hutchison was won by Mrs Britton, and two novelty prizes were awarded to Mrs Shand and Mr M. Johanson. A light supper was served. Mr J. Henry, of the Palmerston North raihvay staff, has left on promotion to acting guard at Taumarunui. His position has been filled by the promotion of Mr A. S. C. Franklyn to the position of shunter with his appointment at Palmerston North.
