SEVERE INJURIES.
COLLISION AVITH TRAIN. Per Press Association. TIAIARU, Alay 24. Struck on the head by the engine of a goods train from Ashburton near the Te AVeka crossing, at Timaru this afternoon, a railway bridgeman, AV. T. Choppin, received injuries to the head, shoulder and hand, and was sent to hospital in a serious condition. He was riding a hand-driven - trolly and collided with the train.
