Miss Jean Batten left at 6.55 o’clock this morning (Darwin time) for Sydney, via Brunette Downs, in company with an escorting ’plane. CONGRATULATIONS FROM PREMIER. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 24. Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes (Prime Minister) has cabled congratulations on behalf of New Zealand to Miss Jean Batten on her breaking Mrs Mollison’s record for the England-Australia flight.
