NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.

The Manawatu and West Coast Agricultural and Pastoral Association stands for the progress and prosperity of the man on the land, and its chief energies have always been bent in that ■ direction. In conjunction with its wider activities the association has shown a generous inclination to promote the agricultural, education of the younger generation, particularly in instituting boys' and girls’ clubs. The womenfolk are especially well catered for in the knitting, needlework and cookery divisions of tho Winter Show and skilful hands should take this opportunity of displaying their capabilities ill those departments. This year a new and interesting feature will be the display of Women’s Institute courts in tho entertainment hall. A buck-jumping contest will bo staged for which prizes totalling £2O will be given. Post entries will be accepted for this event. A poultry show will again bo conducted on the 13th; 14th and 15th Juno and entries close on May 31 for this division. Entries for all other classes close on May 26, and schedules are free on application to the secretary, Mr \V. T. Penny, P.O. box 85, Palmerston North.
