TECHNICAL SCHOOL.
OLD PUPILS’ ASSOCIATION. Mr G. G. Hancox presided over the first annual meeting of the Technical School Old Students’ Association, held in the Assembly Hall last night. The report submitted by the committee showed that activities had been commenced which would make for a very successful association, while the financial statement disclosed a credit balance on the year’s working. The following committee was elected for the incoming year:—Messrs J. Ledra, K. Bambery, C. Marchant, A. Costall and D. Mitchell, Misses M. Peters, E. Peters, S. Care, A. Clarke, and D. Morgan. Miss M. Peters was re-elected secretary and treasurer. A vote of thanks and appreciation was extended the retiring officers. At the conclusion of the business an enjoyable social was held, those contributing to the programme being Misses lv£. Penketii, Jean Scotty Hioia Rodden, and Messrs M. Creighton, Gough, L. Flowers and L. Bennett. At a suitable juncture Mr K. Bambery, on behalf of the 1933-34 committee, presented to Mr Hancox and bliss M. Peters tokens of appreciation for the pioneering work they had successfully carried out in firmly establishing the association. Both suitably replied.
