HEALTH INSURANCE.
FARMERS’ VOLUNTARY SCHEME. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, April 9. The Clutha branch of the Farmers’ Union has decided to initiate a voluntary health insurance scheme in South Otago, impressing upon the Government the necessity for a national compulsory scheme. The Hospital Boards’ Association and the Minister of Health advised that there was no obstacle to a voluntary scheme being initiated if sufficient interest were stimulated.
