CROQUET. FEILDING BEAT TAKARO. A team of ladies from the Takaro Croquet Club visited the Feilding Cro?uet Club yesterday for an all-day riendly match. The games were most enjoyable, the local ladies taking the honours by the narrow margin of three points. The visitors were welcomed by Mrs Dewe, president of the Feilding Croquet Club, Mrs Antis replying on behalf of Takaro. The visiting ladies were entertained at morning and afternoon tea as well as lunch by the home club, to whom the thanks of the Takaro ladies for their hospitality, were conveyed. Two cars met in collision at the intersection of South and Aorangi Streets yesterday, but although considerable damage was done to one of the vehicles no one was injured. The lighter car of the two, which was carrying a load of eggs, etc., for the Feilding market, was turned completely, the fragile load receiving heavy damage as the result of the unwonted handling. The bodywork and front wheel of the cor were smashed, but the other vehicle only sustained minor damage to one mudguard. AUCTION VALUES.
