SALVATION ARMY

The Salvation Army Band from Chalk Farm, London, one of the bestknown civilian brass hands in England, Elayod by Royal Command at Buckingam Palace on March 28. The band was stationed in the courtyard, outside the lunch room, and played while the King and Queen were at lunch. Afterwards Their Mnjesties stood at the open window and listened to a musical programme, which included several of their favourite pieces. At the conclusion the King congratulated the conductor.
