USE OF NEW TYPE OF BOWL. CENTRE RESOLUTION. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, March 13. At a special meeting of the executive of the Dunedin Bowling Centre held to-night to discuss Hons>. lite bowls, members present were unanimous that such bowls had a damaging effect on woods, and,- after a lengthy discussion, a motion was carried that “This executive bar the playing of Henselite bowls during the remainder of the season, or until the New Zealand Bowling Association approves of them as per rules 18 and 22.” Rule 18 says: “Bowls must be of lignum vitae or any approved material.”

Rule 22 states: “No player shall play a bowl which does not comply with the laws of the game, and any competitor playing such bowls shall be disqualified from tire match in which he is taking part, and the game awarded to his opponent.”
