FOR MELBOURNE COLLEGE.

HEADMASTER FROM DUNEDIN. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, March 13. Advice by cablegram from a Melbourne newspaper was received this afternoon that Mr Colin M. Gllray, principal of the John McGlashan College, had been appointed headmaster of the famous Scotch College, Melbourne, which has a roll of over 1000 pupils. Mr Gilray, when approached, stated that he had no such intimation and that the appointment is not to be made until 21st inst., when the General Assembly of. the Church meets. There seems,_ however, no doubt that the information received, if unofficial, is authentic. Mr Gilray, who is 49 years old, has had a distinguished career, academic, athletic and military.
