WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE.

YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS AND PRICES. Steady conditions obtained yesterday in the Wellington stock and share market, which showed no outstanding features. Prices moved within very narrow limits. There was no lack of interest in Government securities, which showed marked firmness. Rural Advance bonds advanced to a salo at £99. Late buyers stayed in at £9U 15s, sellers asking par. A fair demand was (seen for banks, which were slightly irregular. Australasias showed no change on a sale at £l3 ss. Commercial of Australia sold on 'chango at 17s Id. New Zealands had a sale at 48s 3d, late buyers quoting 47s 6d. The D mortgage shares were a shade easier at 32s 9d. Union of Australia were wanted at £lO 3s, New South Wales at £34 2s 6d, r Commercial of Sydney at £l7 15s, and E.S. and A. at £5 13s 3d. Littlo change was seen in pastorals, Goldsbrough Morts gaining 3d at 33s 3d.' Wellington Gas were wanted at 36s 6d, sellers asking Is higher. Insurance shares scarcely held Monday's level, South British being 6d lower at 74s and Nationals a point off at 18s sd. In the meat section, Southlands were looked for at 625. N.Z. Refrigeratings wore unchanged at 17s 3d for the fully-' paid and 8s Id for the contributing. Kauri Timbers firmed to 17s 6d, Leyland-O'Brieil's staying' at 21s 6d. Breweries were steady, New Zealands being 2d up at 39s 9d. There was little interest yesterday in miscellaneous shares, the few quotations being unchanged.
