OTAGO CLUB.

A delightful social and dance was held in the r.W.C.A. rooms, Broadway, on Tuesday evening by the Otago Club. A large number were present. A first-class concert was provided by local artists, those giving items being:—Dance, Yyonno Nicholson; violin solo, Miss I*. Howiey; Mrs Heggie; recitation,. Miss Jean lliomson; song, Mr Tabor; violin solo, Miss I'. Howiey; song, Mrs Heggie; recitation, Miss J. Thompson; song, Mr Tabor; pianoforte solo, Miss E. Corke (“Little White Donkey,” by request). All the performers were recalled and the programme proved to be very popular. At this juncture the chairman (Mr A. J. Graham) thanked the performers and accompanistes, Mrs Barlow and Miss E. Corke, also Mr Nicholson (piper). Several visitors were welcomed into the club. A dainty supper was served by the ladies, the hostesses being Mrs Wilkinson and Mrs Boyd. Afterwards old-time dancing was indulged in, the music being supplied by a professional orchestra. Mr Anderson supplied an extra. The M.C. was Mr Bennison.
