AERO CLUB FEDERATION.

WEST COAST ORGANISATION. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Dec. 1. Acceptance into membership was granted the West Coast (South Island) Federated Aero Club Incorporated by the Council of the New Zealand Aero Club to-day. The constituent clubs of the new area, with their present strengths, are: Westport (33), Greymouth (152), Ikamatua (23), Hokitika (47) and South Westland (25), the total strength being 280. The chairman (Mr Spence) made it clear that the \Vest Coast Federated Club was the last that would be admitted to membership, the policy of the Defence Department being to limit the number of federated clubs ■to ten; it was originally eight. For geographical reasons a West Coast club was desirable, but now that New Zealand was completely covered there was no possibility of the department recognising any other federated clubs.
