GALLANTRY REWARDED.
POLICE IN INDIA. Received October 30, 11.10 a.m. CALCUTTA, Oct. 29. The British police officers, P. Jones and C. Smith, have been awarded the King’s Police Medal for conspicuous gallantry on the occasion of the terrorists’ outrage at Midnapore, in September, when the Magistrate, Mr Burge, was murdered.
