THE WHEAT MARKET.
POSITION IN LONDON. LONDON, Oct. 27. Wheat cargoes opened mostly 6d lower. Australians, owing to lighter clearances, were steady and were occasionally 3d up, but the crop is obtainable at 6d down now. There was somo Far East inquiry for the Australian old crop below United Kingdom parity, and more British inquiry for the new crop loadings. Parcels were neglected and Australians were not offered. The closing undertone was steadier. Ex-Talleyrand sold yesterday at 22s fid net. Futures: —London, December. 20s-; February, 20s 3d; April, 20s 9d per quarter. Liverpool: October, 4s 5Jd ; December, 4s 7d; March, 4s 10Id; May, 4s 11 7-8 d per cental.
