WOODVILLE.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) WOODVILLE, Oct. 30. On Sunday evening the Woodville Band gave another popular concert, but owing to the inclement weather the attendance .was rather disappointing. The arrangements were in the capable hands of Mr J. Sullivan, and the following programme was presented: March, “Victoria,” band; hymn, “Ellorn,” band; song (guitar accompaniment),'Mr M. Winiata; selection, “Normanhurst,” band; humorous items, Mr J. | Wilson; song, Miss M. Gray; musical I monologue, Miss Joan Thompson; foxtrot, “Echo in the Valley,” band; song, Mr P. H. Parr; saxophone solo, Mr M. Winiata; march, “Waldmcre,” band; National Anthem. Miss E. Warren, of Palmerston, who has been a visitor to Kumeroa, has returned home. Miss M. Clarke has returned to Woodville aftor spending a holiday in To Aroha. On Saturday the Plunket Society hold a street stall which proved most successful. The stall was laden with produco of all kinds. Several competitions were held, Mrs Stylos winning a cushion; Daisy Koo Sue. the much coveted cot and doll by guessing the doll’s name (Patricia). Mr R. 5, Johnston won the picture. The stull was well patronised throughout the day.
