CANTATA SUNG.
ST. DAVID’S CHURCH CHOIR. On Friday members of the St. David’s Church gave the cantata “Saviour of Men” (Jamouneaux) under the conductorsliip of Mr T. P. Henderson. There was a good attendance and the performance reflected on all concerned. “Consider and Hear Me” was a solo sung by Mr T. E. Douds, L.T.C.L., and Miss G. Laurenson sang “Hold Thou My Hand.” “O Rest in the Lord” was sung by Miss M. Walker and “If With All Your Hearts” by Mr J. Rogers. Those taking part in the cantata were: Soprano, Miss G. Laurenson; altos, Mrs F. McLachlan and Miss M. Walker; tenors, Messrs J. Rogers and J. Buglass; and bass, Mr T. E. Douds, L.T.C.L. The pianist was Miss M. Muirhead, F.T.C.L., L.A.8., and the organist Miss E. Allen, while those in the orchestra were Misses V. Wood, C. Wood, F. Howley and G. McKenzie. ,
